When inclement weather raises the prospect of games being cancelled, the guidelines for confirming games or training cancellations due to wet weather or ground conditions are:
- Games cancellation: Radio Stations 2CC, 2CA, Mix 106.3, FM 104.7 and SSS-FM will broadcast if games are cancelled. Capital Football makes the decision early and notice of cancellations should be announced between 8:30 - 9:00 am.
- Cancellations will be posted on this website as soon as the club is advised of closures.
- The ACT Government Rain Closure Hotline is 02 6207 5957. It is a recorded message only.
- If the ACT Sportsground Office closes all grounds in the ACT, all junior football, including games scheduled in Cooma or Queanbeyan, is cancelled, and no further cancellation will be broadcast.
- Training cancellation: Grounds at Marist are under the control of Marist College but as a general rule, if ACT sportsgrounds are closed, then the Marist fields are closed.
- In the Junior School, an announcement will be made over the loudspeaker system.
- In the Senior School, a notice will be placed on the monitors.
